About Us...
Mission Statement
Acknowledging that the arts express the essence of civilization
and
encourage the highest aspirations of the creative spirit, the
Sand
County Players, Inc. seek to support the arts in the
Adams-Friendship
community. To accomplish this end, the Players
provide quality live
theater experiences to all ages.
Participation is open to all
interested persons. Any profits derived
there from are used to enhance
the environment for the arts
to further the education of our youth,
and to support
positive community-wide endeavors.
Sand County Players Celebrate 30 Years!
Since its humble beginnings on the courthouse lawn in 1977, the Sand County
Players
has matured into a respected theater group which has produced a minimum of
two shows per year (sometimes twice that!) for thirty years! This all
volunteer group
operates without grants or outside support yet manages to give away
thousands of
dollars every year to graduating seniors, local charities, and community
projects such as
the hospital, community center and the A-F Area Education Foundation.
